A new drama that takes place in Blowing Rock, North Carolina. The war has torn many families apart, and devestated more than anyone can ever imagine. Laurel is a young blind girl, and her mother is Elsa. Together they struggle to survive and await the return of her brother, conscripted into the Confederate army. A body needs more than family and food sometimes though, sometimes it needs love and loves can be found in the strangest of places.
